The new way of cutting

At first glance, the new "SuperGlider" cook's knife from the WÜSTHOF CLASSIC series looks like a combination of a hollow edged cook's knife and a soft cheese knife. It is only when the knife is used for cutting, dicing or chopping that the benefits of this new kind of knife really come to the forefront. Whether you are cutting meat, fish, fruit or vegetables, eight holes and a special scraper rail prevent anything from sticking to the knife. Every little piece and slice comes away easily from the blade. Tomatoes, peppers, kiwis and potatoes are just a few examples we can name.

The combination of holes and scraper rail allows you to work effectively and efficiently, making many of the tasks involved in cooking easier. The cook's knife, which is made from one piece of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel, has an ergonomic handle and an impressively durable edge retention and sharpness. This is made possible by the new "Precision Edge Technology" (PEtec), which gives WÜSTHOF knives their long-lasting superior cutting qualities. This technology involves measuring the blades before sharpening them on a whetstone in order to calculate the precise sharpening angle for each part of the blade. The result is a knife, which is equally sharp from its tip to the end of the blade. In order to ensure that this high-quality product from Germany retains its fine appearance and special sharpness, we recommend that the knife is washed by hand.

The robust design ensures that the gadgets can stand up to a heavy workload. The handles are specially shaped to protect fingers from the blade and, furthermore, all kitchen gadgets are dishwasher safe.

Fine to coarse grating:

The ideal grater for home cooks

There is almost always something to grate when you're cooking. Whether you are preparing, decorating or serving a meal - grated foods are required for a wide variety of dishes. WÜSTHOF, a company based in Solingen in Germany, is extending its range of kitchen implements with four new graters for all your fine to coarse grating needs. Choose between the extra fine, fine and coarse grater as well as a 2-way grater, which means you can easily grate in both directions. All four types of grater have 18/10 stainless steel blades, which are sharp as a knife and long-lasting. This ensures that the foods you grate are finely cut and not ripped or squashed, so they retain all of their taste and flavour and add depth to every meal. The secret of the blades lies in the photo etching production process, which ensures the high quality of the products. The ergonomic handle and non-slip rubber base allow you to work easily and in complete safety, even when you are holding the grater at an angle. The handles are specially shaped to prevent fingers sliding towards the blade. The laser-welded frame prevents the build up of any dirt and gives the kitchen gadget additional stability. The blades can either be washed under running water or they can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The practical hook on the handle means the graters can be stored within easy reach on a kitchen rail.
